Event Description:

This two-hour workshop consists of two parts. First, case managers of students requiring secondary transition in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) will learn best practices of addressing post-secondary. Case managers will then have time to meet and talk with local agencies to learn what services are available to students in an open booth format. 


About the facilitators: 

Tiffany Palmer is a Special Education Coordinator for Bemidji Area Schools and has worked in the field of special education for 24 years, primarily at the secondary level. She holds a Master's in Special Education and a Director of Special Education license. She's excited to share her knowledge of how you can support students on your caseload as they plan for transitioning to life after high school. 

Miriam White is an Assistant professor and Special Education Coordinator for Bemidji State University and has worked in the field of special education for 33 years, having experience in k-12th grades. She holds a Master's in Special Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She's excited to share her knowledge of how you can support students on your caseload as they plan for transitioning to life after high school.
